Licette Gus
Licette Gus, co-founder of Emotion Coaching UK is an Educational Psychologist, chartered with the British Psychological Society. She has over 20 years’ experience working for local authorities and the private sector. Licette developed and led the 3 years long Emotion Coaching Early Years research project funded by the English DfE and the Education Endowment Foundation and coordinated the evaluation of the Targeting Mental Health in Schools (TaMHS) for Solihull MBC.
Licette has delivered presentations on Emotion Coaching for national and international conferences, Professional Development Events across the UK and has been a guest presenter on the Educational Psychology Professional Training Course at the University of Birmingham and the MA course at Oxford Brookes University. She has delivered Emotion Coaching training and projects to schools parents and organisations in the UK and internationally. Licette delivers Emotion Coaching workshops in Australia for Compass Seminars Australia.
Licette co-authored the seminal book on Emotion Coaching in Educational Settings and published papers on Emotion Coaching in peer reviewed journals with Janet Rose and Louise Gilbert. She has written about how to implement Emotion Coaching in Schools and the impact of Emotion Coaching on pupil, staff and family well-being for various publications in the UK.
Licette is a registered trainer of the parenting programmes Tuning into Kids and Tuning into Teens. She delivers these emotion coaching parenting programmes to groups as well as to individual families. Licette is a Level 1 Theraplay practitioner.
